V1 went to bed around 2300 hours on 06/15/2024, and his wife woke up at 0300 on 06/16/2024.

V1 noticed the mechanical gate to his residence was damaged and forced open. V1 then noticed the lock on his trailer was tampered with. V1 stated it appeared someone attempted to steal his trailer but was unsuccessful.

V1 and D1 have been in a six-month romantic relationship. V1 and D1 got into a verbal altercation which turned physical when D1 grabbed V1's breast and then tried to choke V1, but was unsuccessful.

D1 was arrested and transported to VCBJ without incident.

V1 posted his ATV on Facebook market for sale. A male was supposed to purchase but did not show. V1 last saw his ATV around 2300 hours on 06/15/2024, parked under a carport. He noticed it was gone at 0545 hours on 06/16/2024.

D1 had been drinking heavily and wanted V1, his wife, to take him to the store to purchase more alcohol. V1 refused, at which point D1 shoved V1 to the ground.

V1 agreed to take him to the store; however, D1 was not satisfied and continued to push V1. V1 had two small abrasions which were visible.

D1 was subsequently arrested and transported to VCBJ.

Family members came to check on V1 due to not hearing from him since Wednesday. Upon arrival, R1 discovered a gas smell inside the residence and called for assistance.

Fire Rescue responded and confirmed a sewage leak inside the house. V1 was found deceased in the bathroom with a syringe next to him. V1 was in the advanced stages of decomposition. The residence was unsafe to make entry due to the high levels of CO2 and methane without hazmat protective gear.

It is unknown whether this was a natural, accidental or overdose death. The watch commander and CID were notified and responded. ME took possession of the body.

V1 was cleaning his firearms in preparation for Father's Day and inadvertently pulled the trigger on his 9mm pistol, which discharged and struck V1’s leg.

DeLand Police Officer Scott applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. Upon LEOs’ arrival, several rifles and pistols were laid neatly on the couch and coffee table as if someone was cleaning them.

V1 suffered a single gunshot wound to his leg and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation determined this to be an accidental shooting.

The Crime Suppression Team conducted a proactive traffic enforcement operation in response to a large, modified truck rally being held at OB's Lounge in Deland.

Approximately 300-400 trucks were in attendance, along with approximately 700 spectators. The operation resulted in eight arrests, 44 citations and the seizure of narcotics.

D1 shoplifted two cans of baby formula and a nasal spray from Walmart. The theft was observed by Walmart Loss Prevention. D1's two (juvenile) grandchildren (2-yoa & 1-yoa) were with her at the time of the theft.

D1 was arrested without incident and charged with Shoplifting.

Director Quann was notified and D1's grandchildren were turned over to their mother. D1 was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail.

V1 was alerted that her church had been burglarized after a broken window was discovered. When V1 arrived, she confirmed the church had been broken into. V1 advised a subwoofer, mic and amplifier were taken.

V1 was struck intentionally by a vehicle which her boyfriend, D1, was operating after he became angry with her. V1 was knocked down to the ground. She proceeded to get up and got into the vehicle with D1.

While V1 was inside the vehicle, D1 began to strike V1 in the face. D1 then drove V1 to the store and deputies made contact with V1, who advised what happened to her.

V1 sustained minor bruising to legs and arms and refused to be taken to the hospital but advised she would go on her own accord. Deputies obtained probable cause to place D1 under arrest. D1 was taken into custody and charged accordingly.

During the operation, the District 2 CST issued 25 citations and made two arrests.
