Finally an easy an reliable way to check Resizable Bar / SAM status.

Overclocked quantum bit

Epic utility @W1zzard as always, thankyou.

I'm just wondering, looking at the RSB entry in the Advanced tab, it correctly reports that the card doesn't support it (RTX 2080 SUPER) and in a nice succinct way too. Is it possible to also show that the mobo doesn't support it either, by looking at the chipset and / or BIOS perhaps, or would that require knowledge of every mobo out there and thus be impractical?

In my case, it's a 2700K sitting on a Z68 mobo, about a decade too old for this feature.

Downloaded and installed.
Thank you.

No idea how to detect that capability. Making a database of supported devices seems impractical. Also with BIOS updates, the situation becomes even more fluid

Slight typo perhaps but I think "handful" towards the beginning of the 2nd paragraph should be "handy"

As for Bar support, maybe gpuz could detect supported chipsets, then show a note saying the chipset of the motherboard supports it or not and to confirm with motherboard manufacturer. For the moment the list of supported chipset is smaller so an "if chipset x the support equal y/n" flag could be added. Having a support list of chipset will be easier than trying to dig into every bios, just have a message to confirm with the motherboard manufacturer/OEM. Chipset detection could be driver based like with the gpu so a note to make sure drivers are updated may be needed too.

I've always loved gpuz. Any plans for a retro edition that could pull info for older hardware?

Older hardware (up to around year 2000, so more than 20 years) should be detected perfectly fine

What do you have issues with?

Would it be possible to include memory junction temp on rdna2, also the gpu voltage is not reading properly on rdna2

New rebar information looks nice.

GPU-Z is able to determine the actual GPU model and will show the FAKE warning in case of a mismatch, just like in your case.

Is a 4060 better than a 3060? ›

Together, they give the RTX 4060 a healthy FPS boost in games that support the tech. Leaving that aside, the RTX 4060 still outperforms the RTX 3060 by a fair enough margin, and considering the relative launch prices of the two, the RTX 4060 is absolutely the better card of the two.

Is the RTX 4060 high end? ›

Many have called these prices out for being high, but historically that's actually not true. Compared with the last several generations of Nvidia's xx60-class graphics cards, both the RX 7600 and RTX 4060 are reasonably priced even if you don't take performance into consideration.

Which RTX is high end? ›

✅ You want the best: The RTX 4090 is simply the most powerful GPU you can buy for your gaming PC today. The silicon inside it is monstrously powerful, and along with DLSS3 and Frame Generation, it provides a truly next-gen experience. ✅ You want to nail 4K gaming: This is the card that makes 4K gaming buttery smooth.

Do GPU prices drop after new release? ›

Each time we get a new launch of GPUs it's normally expected the price of older models will go down quite a bit, which is what we're seeing now that Nvidia's RTX 40 series has just received an upgrade.

Is GPU-Z temperature accurate? ›

I have tested GPU-Z. I know it works correctly. When the CPU is fully and equally loaded, if your CPU temperature is stable, most monitoring programs should show the exact same thing.

How do I know if Cuda detects my GPU? ›

You can verify that you have a CUDA-capable GPU through the Display Adapters section in the Windows Device Manager. Here you will find the vendor name and model of your graphics card(s). If you have an NVIDIA card that is listed in https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-gpus, that GPU is CUDA-capable.

How can I tell if someone is using my GPU? ›

When a graphics-intensive application is running, open Task Manager > Right-click the top line (CPU, Memory, RAM) > Check "GPU Engine" > Look which GPU shows on the graphics-intensive process (GPU 0, GPU 1). To know which GPU is GPU 0 or GPU 1, check the Performance tab (second icon on the left).

Is RTX 4060 faster than 3090? ›

RTX 4060 Ti vs RTX 3090
